I can't give you the complete insider's guide yet, (I believe that takes three generations) but I would love to share an ex-New Yorker's impressions of this amazing place.\r\nWe started in Paris, as did my fledgling vacation rental business.  Our first studio was my husbands - that's where we lived once we decided to share a continent. We were there until our son was about negative-one-month old, and we didn't want to have to convert the bidet into a bassinet. Once we moved, I started renting out that apartment and everything fell into place. As an architect, I love fixing up the apartments, and as an ex-pat, I love meeting the people who come to enjoy their vacations here.\r\nThe past five years have been out in the Loire Valley, renovating first our \u2018Songbird Sanctuary\u2019 right near Chenonceau, and now our \u2018Clos Lussault\u2019 right near Amboise.  Both locations are perfect for exploring the region \u2013 the chateaux, the wine, the scenery\u2026 it\u2019s beautiful. And the houses (and caves!) are fabulous spaces.
